We could have easily called our G-man classic 1930s fedora a TRILBY rather than a FEDORA. Because we borrowed parts of both hat styles to make our G-Man style come to life. The snap brim most often seen on fedora’s was first a feature of the trilby hat style. And still is, although in a shorter more exact version. For the crown we exaggerated the classic fedora shape by pushing the front of the crown up, making it substantially higher than the back. And the brim is the wider fedora width of 2 3/4 inches. So as you can see a bit of both hat styles went into our G-Man.

- Sarah Bernhardt originally wore this hat style in 1882. She was in a play about a Princess Fedora, which showcased this short brimmed hat style. Today fedoras are worn by both men and women with equal enthusiasm!
- A favorite hat style of actors and musicians, the trilby comes from an 1894 play based on the George du Maurier’s novel Trilby. Justin Timberlake along with many others in Hollywood favors the trilby style and is often seen wearing one.
I enjoy hats. And when one has filthy hair, that is a good accessory. -Julia Roberts-
